Every Wednesday I head down to DeKorte park in Lyndhurst NJ to paint scenes like this and study nature. It's a scenic meadow lands preserve between the town of Lyndhurst and the NJ turnpike. A refuge for animals as well as people seeking to commune with nature, it is a fine place to set up and enjoy a morning or afternoon of painting. It is a therapeutic thing to be able to paint in such an inspiring location. This work is part of an ongoing series.
