Nobody knows how many people were drown in the dark water during the attempt to traverse the Mediterranean Sea from the Middle East towards Europe on their flight from political disturbances. The dark water surface will forever hide the numbers. This work is the fifth of six paintings which together accomplish the series "Journey into the Unknown"
