Daniel Painting

From the series, "Panhandlers of Harvard Square." Daniel was sitting next to the elevator in the well in front of the Harvard Square T stop. He was very enthusiastic about having his portrait done and offered to pose for free. He is one of the outgoing, chatty type panhandlers, and so was reasonably successful in his efforts. Daniel was concerned about staying out of the sun because of his medication. He was also initially concerned that some of the other street people in the area would give him or me a hard time; this did not materialize. However, at one point Maria walked by and they more or less hissed at each other like a couple of angry cats. He told me she had had him arrested for threatening her.
