Baseball in the 1950s and 60s was able to enslave players into contracts that limited their abilities to negotiate their freedom and desires to play where they see fit. Players were bought and sold like property, with no say if an owner decides to drop them if he no longer served them. Curt Flood fought this notion. He challenged the MLB to become a free agent and define the freedom to have some say as to where he would go and his value on the open market. This Battle kept him out of baseball but sparked the long journey for the rights of Professional Athletes. Painting comes with a special thank you note from me. Artwork is shipped in a secure box.
