Contemporary Living Painting

Being an artist in a society inundated with imagery one often struggles with authenticity and originality. In this post-internet era it is no shock that concepts are in constant circulation for we all subconsciously respond and consume the same visual stimuli, particularly though social media and advertising. We are a generation of active internet users absorbing the same information like one uniform machine. In view of this, my paintings are a response to this excess of imagery that duplicates this phenomenon. They are an amalgamation of the various images I collect from sources that vary from the internet to interior design anthologies, stock photography and historical works of art.
