Ezra re-discovers a picturesque road in his neighborhood in East San Diego during the pandemic. He think this place is like a time capsule to another continent and era. Ezra recreates the natural scene using the colors and approaches of his alternative reality series. The painting feels like the work of Danish-French Impressionist Camille Pissarro. A painter he used to admire when growing up in Mexico City. The piece depicts a Colonial blue house with a prominent tree in the left side of the road. Across the narrow way is a rock wall and a sign painted on a piece of wood that reads: "Claim Jumper Way" in the right bottom corner. The painting appears sketchy and almost incomplete in some areas. Shadows resembling people and animals crossing the road. A pleasant painting to decorate that special wall and stimulate you imagination. Mix media on canvas, 30 x 40." Ready to hang.

PERSONAL STATEMENT My pursuit is to leave a mark in the art world with innovative paintings, shedding light on a changing reality and the complex relationship of humans with nature, science and art. The creative process emerged by my own transformation triggered by a temporary loss of vision ten years ago. A sudden shift in my perception of reality, together with an accumulated experience of years of research in the lab and working with computers, detonated an artistic practice and a method to communicate my cosmovision. My artwork evolved from a purely physical form of painting, to working with digital art, animation, and now post-digital painting. This is an art form conceptually shaped by the internet and digital processes, but insisting on bringing materiality to it. Thoughts and ideas flow from a time scale that includes my ancestors, current events, ideas found in nature, historical documents, world travel and scientific publications. The "Alternative Reality" and "Discoveries" are two series, featured at Saatchi Art, depicting a world where art and science coalesce in multiple layers of digitally embedded physical paint and other media.
