What do we picture in mind when we think about Christmas? Snow, lights and garlands, presents in shiny wrapping paper and Santa Claus (Farther Frost). An artist sees the world in a different extraordinary way trying to bring a new meaning into every, even cliched, plot. Christmas is a favorite holiday all over the world. This is when we seem to believe that all our most cherished wishes will finally come true, and life will become a fairy-tale. But there are also Christmas time stories with a different ending where their belief in a miracle doesn’t help the main characters a lot. So in the painting "Christmas" we can see the main holiday attributes — red background, the main color of the holiday, and a sleigh. The central character of the composition is a naked woman again. Her face is unseen, and her flapping hair creates an illusion of movement, although the posture is static. What is this picture about? How are the nude genre and the Christmas theme connected? Metaphorically. Christmas is perhaps the only day of the year when even adults believe in fairy tales, life-changing miracles and a chance to wake up tomorrow in a new, kind, and happy world. But this doesn’t happen, so each and every year we hope for miracles that do not exist and will never happen, and sleighs won’t go anywhere. This naked woman becomes a metaphor of a human soul — beautiful in its essence, abandoned at the mercy fate. This painting is another reminder for the viewers that our life is just an endless ride on the merry-go-round.

Her artwork is full of depiction of reality, vitality, raw and exposed feelings, and is daringly imaginative. In her work, Syuzanna seeks to achieve the simple forms and textures inspired by the human body, transmission of emotions with the texture of the skin and water, ice and fabrics, portraying it as the three-dimensional projection as well as two-dimensional, flat decorative.
