About The Artwork
Inspired by my childhood growing up in the 60s. A classic summer afternoon was playing in the lawn pool or sprinkler while lying in the sun. This chair was revolutionary at the time for being able to fold up and take anywhere with you. I hope viewers relate to the feeling of simpler times as a child. The world seemed better and less chaotic. The simple lounge chair meant a relaxing afternoon in the sun. I used acrylic paint to layer colors for a bright vivid look. The spray paint allows for a dramatic pop of color to contrast the green.

The Gallery is a place for her to display her interest in texture, materials, and scale. Gallery Haven features painting, sculptural, and print works by Susan Havens-Morris.
