Using a technique similar to marquetry, the artist hand-cuts pieces of wallpaper to craft intricate textured surfaces that are then carefully hand-painted. His landscapes are both idealized and impossible; they are inspired by real places but are entirely imaginary. Color, texture, and composition are the main preoccupations of his work."
