Lidya Aaghia Tchakerian, an International Armenian artist born in Lebanon and currently lives in CA, USA. Obtained her degree, Masters of Fine Arts from ALBA (Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts), where she lectured from 1989 until 2002. Since then never lending herself to derisive exercises, but creating different dimensions, refusing to create sarcastic objects destined for bourgeois. For her the inequalities and the particularities of a condition cannot define its fundamental truth.To translate the profound equality of beings, she captures them in their uniqueness and universality. Blending drama and beauty through the ever deepening of a language in which only her subconscious varies. I work spontaneously and constantly covering and layering the canvas with oil paint, blending art, culture and history of humanity into new forms of existing identities.Somtimes I use the color directly from the tube exploring its pure power and energy, other times using brush, hand and other objects that scratch and mark the paintings in an instant moment of time, recording its existence in the history of art and time. In the process I constantly discover new territory of expression, dimension, texture and identity. Every one of my paintings has the beauty, mystery, misery and history of its own - which is the background and instant history of its existence.
