About The Artwork

“Camino de Lino” is a series composed of a natural linen thread that runs through the painting wrapping it. I try to show that spiritual path that we make in life. In this series of works I am interested in the play of shadows created by the linen threads as a reference to the diffuse paths, those that take you away from the good path, secret paths that we undertake or are attracted to. The gesture of introducing the needle and thread into the painting at the beginning serves as a metaphor for the most important moment of the path. The beginning; the awareness of wanting and the willpower to achieve the goal. I like that whoever acquires this series of works searches for a goal, a challenge of self personal growth and that by looking at it can see where he/she is. 7 In this work I use the color red as a symbol of blood and the strength of the Holy Spirit in the Christian religion. 7 paths with the 7 intersections make reference to the writings of Peter Lombard in the 12th century, as well as those of Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century where they codify the sacraments in 7; Baptism, Confirmation, Penance, Eucharist, Holy Orders, Marriage and Extreme Unction.

(Barcelona, 1983) Grandson of a historian and writer, son of an art dealer and brother of an art curator. Like a poet who makes words rest over time, my art has born after a long reflection. In my work I try to address themes, concepts of life such as innocence, desire, beauty, lies, wounds, spirituality or death with the Bartleby series. With my work I seek to raise awareness and promote critical thinking. I like that whoever acquires my work makes it their own and spends time thinking about her, which is why each work is delivered with a contract.
