About The Artwork
Caipirinha Blue is one of my paintings about this famous typical Brazilian drink. Full of writings that reflect a state of ecstasy and pleasure that only a refreshing caipirinha in the heat of the Brazilian summer can provide. However, when looking more carefully, it can be seen that the writings also deal with moments when alcohol helps to release some of our secrets, especially about loves that have passed or have not been reciprocated. The writing in the middle "Meu amor forte forte" (My love stronger) is ambiguous, because caipirinha is a relatively strong drink depending on the concentration of cachaça and can mean both the strength of the drink and/or the memory of a love that was or is very important. These are things that we usually miss after one, two or more caipirinhas. * Need something refreshing? Have a CAIPIRINHA!
