But there is hope out the window.. Painting

This painting came out as a result of a two-week painting challenge. I designed the challenge for myself and a few of my friends with the intention to make art daily. We met online every morning, same time, for two weeks without any pauses. We Picked up a subject, brushes, canvases, and paints and leaned ourselves onto our canvases along healthy and thoughtful art discussions. Helped each other with art queries, picked up on fruitful conversations, and learned a lot during the course of two weeks. Besides, we surprised ourselves by sharing gorgeous pieces of artwork by the end of the challenge. The palette is a fine mix of cool and warm tones. The leaves and petals have been delicately placed with the use of a round-tipped knife over slim stems. The vase and tabletop have been finely painted mahogany and given multiple layers of shades to enhance depth and value. Curtains swept sideways to let the “light” in, forming a soft drape behind the still life and balancing the overall composition. I chose 12 by 16 inches canvas for the painting reflecting a powerful message; “Never let go of hope, cultivate optimism, practice gratitude and surround yourselves with everything that brings out the best in you,” Biaz art studio.
