She creates her landscapes with a limited palette of only 5 colors, and using these 5 primary colors she pre-mixes her entire palette (over a hundred individual hues) before she ever picks up a brush. Next, she applies the paint with a confident, experienced hand, placing the paint exactly where it belongs on the canvas, and trying not to over any part of the canvas more than once. This unique method of painting in oils, without any layering, creates a stained glass or mosaic effect in her paintings. The final result is a vibrant painting that captures the landscapes she loves.
