About The Artwork
Strikingly realistic watercolor painting of a crystalline day at Chamonix, near Mount Blanc in the French Alps. It is majestic, awe inspiring piece - perfect for skiers, nature enthusiasts, or anyone at home in the mountains. This painstaking work required about 60 hours painting with tiny brushes, inspired by the artist's ski journeys. The artist handmade most paint from using ground-up stones, ie Lapis Luzuli. The above painting is sold, but a custom piece would be created to very closely (nearly identically!) match this photo. Slightly customizations could be created based upon the patron's desire, such as adding special details, small birds, or small hikers.
