Blooming Night Garden: Twilight II Painting

This landscape oriented floral painting features a deep, glowy blue background which descends into a wonderful inky indigo in places only to lift to a soft, pale blue as if touched by early moonlight. Four deep, vibrant, richly saturated orange lilies are displayed, marching across the composition in the early evening light. Each blossom is speckled with indigo blue spots and features arching stamens, heavily laden with deep blue pollen. Pink trumpet flowers also feature, popping into the canvas on two sides, offering fully opened blooms and promising little blossoms, still tightly furled and waiting for their moment in the light. Red reeds speckled with little white seeds and heavily furred white flower heads feature too, along with leaves of all shapes, sizes and colors. The piece is painted on cradled board and is ready to frame or hang as is.
