The autumn colors are one of my prime inspiration for my paintings. In the commute to and from my studio, I am always captured by the invasion of bittersweet over the bare trees that have lost their leaves. The root of the bittersweet is unrecognizable, but the bright red and orange hover all over the neighboring trees. The painting conveys the tranquility of the light in autumn, as well as a calm and somewhat melancholic mood.
