About The Artwork

Austere "landscape". From aircraft coming to land Narsarsuaq, Greenland. Not your twee Gemütlichkeit, hygge, cosy, familiar cliché landscape. Full of warm friendliness and social acceptance. As if. As produced for Gallery owners. Anodyne cottages. Anodyne foothills. Whatever next? Julie Andrews belting out Sound of Music in sunlit uplands mood music? Landscape? How about from 5000 feet above ground? Looking down directly. Sharp rock, freezing water. Jet engines screaming. My perspective and attitude. Implying three dimensions, portraying two.

Lowborn, not a Virtue-Signaller, lacking Luxury Beliefs or their status, but neither an inverted snob, nor a snob. Definitely not intersected. Orphaned, outcast, male, straight, white, capitalist (a tiny fish in a very big pond), quite conservative in fiscal and social matters. In long term and friendly relationship. Prankster, yet pragmatic, singular, evolved, authentic, ironic, sardonic, sceptical. Comparatively deprived early life. Which has had permanent effect. Not least in being grateful, for what I've got. And for true opportunities both recognisable and takeable. These themes within some of these works. Never faked a sarcasm too. Personally loyal to those who have tried to, or have, helped. What else is a man of honour to do? Really enjoy painting, sometimes. In silence, without media lies etc., noticed sound of own breathing as I paint. Expressive, rather than regular! Still learning after all these years. Thank you for your interest.
