About The Artwork
I took inspiration from kakejiku, Japanese hanging scroll art to create this abstract landscape. While the work can be hung or framed, it is up to you how you want to view this work, while being hung you can see the words I wrote but if you want to stretch and frame the work the words would be hidden and only we would know what's hidden. Therefore the work itself would need hanging hardware or be framed, ultimately the choice is yours. Like the morning fire, deep within the mountains runs the most beautiful river that no one can reach. Similar to Time while it's always there no one can hold it and the Ashes slip through us all.

Niko Mitsuko originally from Long Beach, California but as a child she moved to Las Vegas. She first learned how to print in a darkroom in high school and became fascinated with the magic of photography. Later, she went on the study at UNLV, where she received a BFA in Fine Art with and emphasis on Photography and a BA in Film. She moved to Portland, Oregon, to launch her artist career, and has exhibited her work across the United States, earning multiple recognitions for her photography. Along the way, she has refined her style and expanded her repertoire to include painting and mixed media works. She currently resides in Leeds, UK and Berlin, DE, and has had her works featured in exhibitions across Europe, notably in Paris, London, Nottingham, Rome and Berlin.
