About The Artwork

A simplified rework of 'The Batphone Apocalypse', an older piece in which a child with downs syndrome is holding the phone and there is a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud in the distance. The Batphones are symbolic of our effective yet aggressive technological communicative abilities. You all know what I mean. The simplification came from the popularity of the 'Batphone' element of the previously mentioned piece. Although, that said piece was inspired by a drawing i did working in a call centre years ago which was just the 'Batphone' element... I didn't like that job. Basically pseudo political surrealism. Which i use as an excuse for being bewildered by the news but creating these images because of it! Boxed around the edge for easy hanging.
