About The Artwork

Originally I started to paint a figurative embankment, but it did not come out at all as magical as I had it in my mind. So at some point I decided to turn it around and paint over it with big strokes of gold and bronze and used my painting knife- and suddenly- the moment I let go of the expectation- the magic came fluidly. When hanging it in exhibitions, people tell me they somehow get sucked into it- the dynamics of the strokes really catch you and the magic spreads!

Born 1978 in Bogota/ Colombia I live, love and work as a freelance designer and artist in Hamburg/Germany since 2001. My artwork is versatile- using all kinds of styles and techniques I am constantly exploring new ways of creating images. Since my participation in the artsquat 'Gängeviertel' 2009 in Hamburg I am developing the series 'fantastic city scapes'.
