About The Artwork
Part of a series which involves building a set using men/women made objects, then shooting it on film which then will be distorted so that it becomes abstract. This way objects used will take on a new entity. Video will stand on its own with sound added. These paintings are snap shots taken from the video piece. I got the idea from looking at how the old impressionist used to paint directly from nature and using a particular approach. My intention is to examine how this old approach would be translated in contemporary context.
