About The Artwork
Artichokes have the most incredibly vibrant indigo and purple flowers, growing in many fields and gardens in the Mediterranean landscape of Mallorca where I live. I chose a collage background of newsprint and textured paper, using coloured tissue paper to give the plant a sculptural feel. This is my larger than life tribute to these amazing plants. You'll need a big wall space for this one! (Canvas painted on sides, so does not need framing!)
