About The Artwork
Small-scale sketch on thick hand-made cotton rag paper. Painted using the always brilliant Quink ink. I remember first using this wonderful ink when I was in my art class at secondary school. It has similar quirks to my favourite pigment (Pthalocyanine Blue) in that it tends to dry with a metallic sheen. It also has an excellent range of colour (for a black ink), ranging from soft sepia tones to midnight blue.
