About The Artwork

Inspired by the material, the milky glass (which I got by accident), I started experimenting on how the neo pastel worked on the material. The colours got the same faded effect as the milky glass. The result is a milkyness inspired by the sky at that time, transforming from summer to autumn. The sky changed the humidity rises, the result a milkyness and softness. Have you ever noticed the changes in the sky? This painting is a reflection of that. The painting consists of two pieces. The first layer is the UV glass where the painting is on. The glass is transparant, but with the white background it's colours are reflected best and the painting gets a 3D effect. The second layer consists therefore of a cardboard layer of the same size as the painting (belonging to the painting creating its dept). This painting is framed in a warm yellow frame.

In my paintings there is always a new perspective. Something new I found out, a new way, a new perspective on painting, on artists, on colours, on life. They show my way of life out of curiosity, finding new depts, new philosophies. Always looking at the artists from before, and what they had in common, to learn from their messages and develop my own. Sometimes I turn my paintings around and around even during the painting proces to make them round or to be able to paint. Mostly they are painted by hand using my finger as a tool. Their names reveal the content. Even for me as an artist their depts keep reveiling years after painting them. I hope they keep doing specifically that for a while…..not only for me, but for many people.
