I like narrative in a painting, which with me tends to take the shape of an open-ended story. I am fascinated by the way people can see very different things in the same picture. Here I am playing with words. A meeting in the woods, is it a tryst or a surreal boardroom. has it taken place or are we waiting for it to happen. Or is it simply the meeting of unconventional objects in beautiful surroundings. Where there is mystery, imagination can work it's magic. Oil on canvas.

Jill Hudson BA (HONS) Fine Art A graduate of Falmouth College of Arts, I live and work in Cornwall. As an artist I am interested in depicting the beauty of the inconsequential moment - A shaft of light across the floor, a shadow through the trees in the evening. I want to capture the essence of an image which otherwise might be overlooked. My art is about the landscape of life in all its forms - its fleetingness, its poetry, its loneliness, and its reality. I have traveled in Africa and South America and gain great inspiration from exploring - I paint wherever I go. In 2005 I spent time working with Raleigh International as their Expedition Artist in Chile. On leaving the project I trekked to glaciers in southern Chile, and also spent time on Easter Island.
