Water is the second out of four paintings series called "4 elements". The series was inspired by 4 fundamental elements: earth, water, air and fire as known from concepts in Ancient Greece. Each painting represents the connection between people and that element, between people and Nature. It shows our presence, our involvement, even when we are not directly present. We influence Nature, good or bad we leave our marks. Trains need railway tracks and stations, ships need docks and lighthouses, we dig underground ... marks that stay even when not being used. Further more, when we do use them, we are not directly in touch with the elements of Nature. Instead, we are in a train, or on a ship or on a plane.
