Life in the water, life cycles. The sea, mirror of the visible and invisible, reality and dream, canvas of our imagination, mantle of life and death. Original image taken at Ballycotton harbour,Ireland. It was a quiet Sping Sunday after a big local mass at the port, a ceremony to appease nature. The pavement had scattered piles made by the sea breeze with all kinds of flower petals, Virgin Mary cards, cigarette butts, balloons and empty plastic glasses, the mass debris. This fishing village is placed in a dangerous coastline, with a long history of shipwrecks. The sea bed is full of old and new boats, always too small and weak for the powerful sea water and rocks. On the sea bed, the wrecks with crabs, lobsters, mackerels and cods swimming around. The local fish are fished by the descendents of some of the people who perished or were saved by the RNLI there.
