The phrase in the title refers to an old song about a farmer who serenaded his cow about the lack of grass, instead of feeding her. It has become a synonym for dispensing poor and unproductive suggestions that hold no value. In the context of this artwork, the execution takes on a literal form. It features a genuine animal skull paired with functional headphones. This juxtaposition conveys the essence of the phrase, just as the farmer's song misguidedly captivated the cow, this artwork captures attention while symbolizing the needlessness of thoughtless guidance. The skull is also embellished with white acrylic dots indicating a disease an artist went through and a philosophical inscription “Go away so you can come back” on the forehead.

Slovenia
Lara Ješe is a visual artist living and working in Kranj, Slovenia. She doesn’t stick to a particular style or a medium, but most of her production resides in figurative painting. Colder and darker tones from her earlier work with animal motifs have made way for increasingly saturated colours and strong, bold shapes. In 2016 she acquired her MFA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and also studied at the HGB Leipzig in Germany. She has exhibited in solo and group shows internationally, most notably in Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany, and the USA.
