Heart From The Ashes Installation

'Heart From The Ashes' is inspired by personal experience of sinking so low and not being able to see a way out of the blackness then, meeting somebody who lifts your spirit and heart from the burning ashes lifting you to a higher place. I want people to not only see but, feel the emotion of the piece. Using real butterflies simply representing the 'butterfly effect' that, that special person has on you. The heart is hand made from clay and painted in a deep red representing the intensity of passion. The base is hand made from clay and the smothered in burnt ashes to represent the darkness of being alone. This piece is then encased in a glass dome to ensure its longevity.
