Aletheia Installation

Assessments identity informs this oeuvre through self-analyzes. Inspired by the term "Aletheia" (From the Latin "speaking of the truth"), in which Heidegger propose an interpretation of reality as sincere thoughts revealed by "unconcealed ness" or "disclosure". The meaning of disclosure considers that its place and environment influence all around objects and that the sense of things are dependent on the context we encounter with in life. To reveal the inside, one have to peel the external layers. For this reason, the skin serves as a reference to represent how thoughts leave marks on the carcass. I choose to work in a variety of mediums to fully assemble what reflects an absorption of my surroundings. Photographs are used to document the world around me, which shapes my visual vocabulary. In the paintings, I create atmospheric environments as abstracts concepts to indicate the mind, while in sculptures I tangibly address some effects of experiences; representing a dichotomy that embodies a duality between the internal and external body.
