When she saw her partner's rocking chair, she wanted one. He would disappear emotionally for hours. Sometimes days and it annoyed her immensely. Then she had an epiphany. She'll have one so disjointed he'll never know whether she's there or not. When she sat in it she was transformed. It was brilliant. It was an existentialist freedom. She took it everywhere and was never disturbed. She waves to her partner with understanding and appreciation for his innovational idea but he doesn't see her. Even better.
