About The Artwork
To begin with, I must point out that Pompeya is not referring to the city destroyed by the Vesuvius volcano but instead it is a reference to a neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires Argentina. Here, there is a multiplicity of people from other Latin American countries. The battle is fierce and the sides are hard to tell apart due to that limit that divides the self, from the foreign. And discrimination makes the rest of the population of Buenos Aires, to put Pompeya as a strange and foreign place. Pen and ink on paper
