About The Artwork
I used to pass by this little yellow house walking to elementary school whose whole front porch was encased in beautiful weathered windows. I'd imagine sitting in there and reading a book, tucked away as cars whizzed by out front. Unfortunately, a for sale sign was recently driven into its lawn with an image of a proposed condominium so gaudy and grotesque it could be mistaken for a sports car showroom. I spent a few days in the yard, mourning the likely loss of this 1914 craftsman relic and created this drawing.
