Our Child Waiting To Be Born Drawing

The conception of a child, your child is a precious, incredible event ushering in a new beginning. Their birth is the result, the product in most cases of the shared intimacy between 2 people. The intensity of my vision proclaiming the future presence of my daughter came to me before her birth, and her visual appearance was exactly revealed to me in my dream, curly hair, a sweet curious expression of wonderment. As she looked out it was in the personification of a voyeur, viewing and studying the biological parents who conceived her and invited her into the world. And in this dream this child waiting to be born was a witness to the original act of intimacy that eventually created her birth, her innocence and her first real footsteps leaving new impressions on the surface of this earth. The use of my conte crayon technique offered me the spontaneity, value shading, subtle highlights, and delicacy of line and figuration that I desired and hoped to achieve.
