About The Artwork
Manuel Belgrano was a diplomat, economist, journalist, politician, lawyer, and military man of outstanding performance in present-day Argentina, Paraguay, and Upper Peru during the first two decades of the nineteenth century. He was one of the main patriots who promoted the May Revolution. In 1812 he created the flag of Argentina in the present city of Rosario.
