About The Artwork

Watercolour Paint on paper Signed on the front. This diptych is a part of the series of paintings and drawings called " In a Silent Way " For the show we suspended paintings from the rail using small paper clips. This can be the simplest option to show it on the wall. Paper is thick, 640 grams, cold pressed with fine tooth texture. Two panels measuring 103 x 66 cm each. If framing is preferred option, than I would suggest ‘float framing’ which creates nice shadow line around the artwork. Both panels can be joined into one piece and framed, although I believe it is nicer if they are framed individually and spaced on the wall as one unit. Like suggested on the picture above, showing different artwork. Large watercolour / drawing on paper, 132 x 103 cm Painted in impressionistic style, improvised, loosely based on sketches after live model.

Born in Croatia in 1958, Tony Belobrajdic is a Sydney based figurative artist. He started exhibiting in the late seventies and had his first solo show in 1983 in Croatia. Tony moved to New York in 1987 where he continued his art practice. He exhibits both in Sydney and Europe regularly. Acrylics, watercolours and oils have been the mediums of choice. Etchings is the latest medium being explored and studied with a great passion. His style could be described as contemporary impressionism, mostly portraits and figures. Tony's artwork demonstrates distinct freedom using spontaneous brushstrokes and vivid colours. He combines layered figuration of human forms put in abstract situations.
