Am not a terrorist Drawing

This work is based on the look that some bear on others in the society today. A society where some people do not tolerate others because of their religion. Today terrorism is considered a religion and those who are being terrified are instead referred as terrorists. We cannot move forward as some people turn away from others. it is a kind of punishment that some people inflict upon others when they move away from their rights. My work is a kind of way to promote the culture of peace. I think that man is to out to build and not to destroy. The acceptance of each other can break this concept of inferiority and superiority because the natural unity between the human family can not be fully realized when some people are isolated from the great community. With the use of ballpoint pen and acrylic, my aim is to immerse the spectator in my work to better understand the minds of this victims who remain damaged psychologically as seen on the background. The use of newspaper headlines by the method of traditional serigraphy, was aimed at showing the spectator the different atrocities these victims face in their day to day lives.The colors used, remind us of the different human races and cultures as a whole linked to each other by the patterns on the veil that I rely on to raise awareness on the concept of peace, tolerance and acceptance of one another.
