A person close to me once had a strange disease, I forgot how it was called but during the time she was ill. A lot of strange things happened. She would sometimes become like a 5 year old, and only remember things that happened to her when she was 5. Oddly, a lot of strange things happened at her house as well, like things would go missing, or she would tell me that she would see an old man at her house (but there was no old man at her place). Then she would see some shadows and even a red shadow coming to her at some time. With this, they then decided to call a witch doctor, because where I grew up, even in the city, some of these witch doctors can be found, also because with these unexplainable things happening, even the doctors didn't know what to do. The witch doctor came and told them several shocking but almost ridiculous things. One of those is that, their house is haunted (well it seems like it is), then she ordered to buy a live chicken. Then cut its head off and use the head to spill the blood on the floors of the house - at least one room should have a spill of the chicken's blood then they held hands and the witch doctor did a prayer and after a few minutes she said that the thing that haunts the place should will be leaving. Strangely, it did. Printed on a special matte paper ILFORD

Born in Manila, Philippines in 1986. I am a visual artist who recently focuses on acrylic paintings, photo-manipulation and installations. In my work, the subjects are represented through a mix of imagined and realistic images, playing with the expectations of the viewer and raising questions about the role that human emotions play in memory. The scenes reflect on psychological impulses and on the way they are depicted and fused with everyday reality. My photographs and paintings explore the traditional boundaries of visual representation, where the creative powers of the unconscious are unleashed to reveal a different reality. In the past I have exhibited in several countries - Australia, England, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Philippines, Poland, Serbia, South Korea, Taiwan, UK and USA. I have also won a few prizes like the 2010 1st prize in the Digital Art Category at the Art Museum of Chianciano Terme, Italy and 2011 Best Photography Illustration from The Redmond Digital Arts Festival in Washington, USA, 2015 2nd place in the Secret Art Prize from the Curious Duke Gallery in London and Nominated for the APBF Signature Art Prize of 2014 from the Singapore Art Museum. I was also named as one of 2014 and 2017 Asia's Top Ten Most Inspiring Visual Artists in Asia by the Top 10 Publications in Malaysia. I was also a 2020 Arte Laguna Prize Finalist and recently I’ve worked with GIANT to create bicycles that are based on the stories and life experiences using bicycles of people that work in the cycling company GIANT. He currently lives in Taichung, Taiwan where he recently has been doing a lot of public art installations.
