I like to incorporate an element of mystery in my abstract creations so that when a viewer searches to interpret the piece, he/she is turned back to pure aesthetic experience. In this regard I have been influenced by the esteemed American critic, Clem Greenberg who greatly enabled the public acceptance of abstract art starting with Jackson Pollock. This limited edition print (one of six), utilizes the deep royal blue background to hold the abstract drawing secure. The richness of the blue reminds me of the imperial colors of nobility and gives the work a very dignified appearance for an abstract piece. As with all my prints, the final version that I present is created through the extensive manipulation and layering of visual digital information incorporating elements of drawing, painting, photogrphy, and collage. I printed the image myself in my studio with pigment ink on metal in a limited edition of 6. All materials are archival and the print comes with a certificate of authenticity. Please note: the image itself is 12 x 16 inches on 16 x 20 inch primed white metal plate creating the effect of an image surrounded by a white mat. It presents well!
