About The Artwork
Created from the need to work looser, and be freed from trying to create visual associations to the marks I made on canvas, "Wrapped" came out in response. As always I start with the base color, loose watered down washes of color to help establish the mood and direction of the piece. The added paper elements, simple recycled and found materials, that were painted and applied. Metallic accents and pencil work helps to contain and provide structure for this collage work. It is a collage on canvas, unframed (with painted edges) that is wired and ready for hanging.
