About The Artwork
This is one of a current series of fabric and acrylic collages in very small format -8" x 8" on wood panel. During this difficult year 2021, fabrics and textures of all kinds allowed me to create small worlds full of patterns and colors. They felt like puzzles to be solved. So far I have nine of these small pieces and plan to keep going. I find it to be very satisfying and therapeutic to work on these as the world beyond the studio continues to be an uncertain and a perilous one. I hope the viewer will see not only the differences among them, but also the harmony and correspondences among these pieces.
