About The Artwork
It is said that all life on earth is created from the matter of long-dead stars. This abstract cloudscape is composed of a layered paper collage motif floating on a painterly canvas background. The fungi-cloud-alien-like form is composed of custom hand-marbled designs and drippy, leggy tendrils. The visual juxtaposition recalls the aesthetic parallels found across mycology, marine biology, and astronomy. The color palette includes greens, turquoise, brown, black and gold. Gold leaf spore-like details reference the star stuff that permeates everything. Gallery wrap deep edge canvas is ready to hang as is with exposed edges revealing the artistic process or can be framed by the collector. Signed on the back.
