About The Artwork
"Tickle Your Fancy" was inspired by an affirmation that I wrote down in my artist notebook as a reminder to do things that make me happy. I tend to write short poems for myself and loved ones featuring different affirmations. I have just begun to use them in my work. I love working in collage, building layers to tell a story or share a point-of-view. I use resin to seal collage work onto the wood panel and to give an encased appearance as well. All of my artwork is created to empower women. An alternative title to this piece is "Don't Be an Ass".
