"Three Days", Tryptich Collage

The circle has been present in my artwork for many years. As an ancient symbol in many cultures it represents infinity, being complete, being whole and the cycle of life. This tryptich consists of three mixed media collages on circular shaped stretched canvases. They can be hung in a line or one below the other or in a triangle. If you hang them side by side the length will measure about 60". Each canvas has a diameter of 19,7". To create my collage paintings I works with different kinds of paper and acrylic paint. My work for me represents the cyclic nature of everything living as well as the process of every day life; collecting experiences, impressions and places, getting older, remembering and forgetting. For my collages I use handmade papers as well as bought and found papers and print material, acrylic paint and graohite. In the process of layering with paper and paint all the papers are embedded in acrylic medium. To make sure that the artwork is highly light-fast I use GOLDEN Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers).
