POPART | STREETART | URBAN | GRAFFITI | EXPRESSIONISM | SPIRITUAL ABSTRACTS | MODERN ART | POST-MODERN ART | 2020 Thank You for Visiting! One Crisis to Another... | April 2020 | This work was inspired while cleaning out an old bag in my closet; I found a naloxone first aid kit, the black medical pouches almost became trendy before the Heroin epidemic was swept away and treated slowly with the opening of more methadone clinics. Compared to the fear out there today it makes me nostalgic for the past; the carefree and seemingly gentle days gone by. Post-modernism continues to spiral, my cynicism cycles as well; a symptom of the modern-day. No one believes in absolutes, no right and wrong, instead, we use an ever-increasing spectrum of grey values that divides, grows, then becomes overgrown. Our culture mirrors our cities as protons and electrons mirror the planets and stars, it turns out that black part in our universe is actually a window which shows infinity more universes. Am I the only one who feels ripped off by this? I made this work using part of my old Naloxone kit. Plastic wrap with a hole to put over dying addicts faces during CPR... the film keeps your mouth from touching theirs like a dental dam concept... When I first unwrapped this and attempted to interpret the instructions It took way too long figuring out, I was so distracted that a simple concept became overwhelming and redundant. I thought this item being so complex meant it was intelligently designed, that is the misleading thing about the post-modern world as well... Given only the piece of wrap with a hole, I believe I would have known what to do on my own. __________________________________________ EVERY PIECE IS CREATED IN MY STUDIO, MADE FOR URBAN LIFE, TO PERSONIFY THE BUSTLING, SEXUALLY CHARGED MARCH FORWARD YOU FEEL WHEN LIVING IN A CITY, TO KNOW YOU'VE MADE IT, OR TO GIVE HOPE THAT SOON YOU WILL. YOU ARE POWERFUL. YOU ARE PASSIONATE, AND YOU'RE ONLY JUST GETTING STARTED. ___________________________________________ One of a kind painting comes with a certificate of authenticity. Created with high-quality acrylic paint, arrives ready to hang on your wall, the sides are painted. The piece will be titled, dated, and signed in permanent marker. Yours to keep forever!

« I hope you will see a starting point and maybe get a bit lost: I hope that you will dream. » Emerging artist Chris Crewe compares life to a trapeze act. Always knowing that the next rung will be there, he hasn't fallen yet. The Canadian artist has been studying the use of sledgehammer as a paintbrush, replicating marks, and incorporating them into his abstract works. Crewe also makes paint markers out of plastic bottles by melting the plastic to turn the lid into a spout, often using them to draw in free-flowing gestures. His unique works are meant to 'brighten your day'.
