Italia Pink Collage

This visual explosion of torn shapes and typography focuses on a colour combination of pink and red and with many other of my works, is inspired by my travels around Italy. My passion for letters and type is only bettered when these torn poster pieces are subsequently broken up, disjointed and played off against each other creating an extraordinary an original surface texture where it is nearly possible to actually hear the fractured shouts and proclamations of these posters. Glued onto wooden board these delicate paper pieces form an ecstatic reminder of places, times and information which perhaps is also a metaphor for our memory of events.
