About The Artwork
Collage of ink on paper, colored paper, paper, metallic and silk threads, silk and felt. From my series "LA Dreaming": Paper-cut silhouettes from LA-based film and TV, and hand-drawn monotone insects indigenous to or otherwise found in California, are set against a backdrop of handmade papers from different parts of the world, and embellishments made of hand-embroidered silk. This work features a rusty patch bumble bee (Bombus affinis).
