About The Artwork
An abstract representation of a small collection of pebbles found on Brighton beach. The soft, muted color palette includes neutral grays and natural wood tones. This nature inspired collage is composed of hand-marbled papers (custom made by the artist) and wood veneer. The layering and manipulation of various papers and material surfaces results in a mixture of shiny, matte, wrinkly and raw textures. The wood substrate peeks from beneath the painterly cloudy layers. The substrate is 1/2" birch ply. The metal French cleat mounting allows the painting to float gently off the wall with exposed plywood edges, or can be professionally framed by the collector. Note: Photographic representation of artwork is a close representation of actual colors. Due to photographic reproduction limitations and your monitor settings, exact color fidelity is difficult to obtain.
