Breather Collage

As our world shrunk in 2021, so did my paintings. I was suddenly drawn to fabrics and textures of all types. I was inspired by a fabric workshop I attended and by the fabrics that I had purchased some time ago and found in the studio. They were full of potential as tools to create little worlds of strange shapes, colors and textures. I was determined to have these little worlds live together in harmony. To this end, I used a lot of the same fabrics. I don't feel I am done with this series. So far I have made nine and plan to keep going as long as I can. I hope the viewer will get lost in each of them and notice the different mood in each one. At the same time, I hope the viewer will see correspondences among them.
